19/10/2007 Ceasar Marine helps Key West event celebrate 21st birthday
|

|
2008 marks the 21st anniversary of North America’s premiere annual sailing regatta the Acura Key West 2008. Between 21 and 25 January 2008, Key West will play host to the famous annual gathering of international grand prix boats, high profile yacht-racing classes and sailing legends. Ceasar Marine US is proud to be the official RIB & sponsor for the 2008 event.

“In the last few months we have moved part of our boat manufacturing facilities to the city of DeLand in Florida and it’s an honour to associate our brand with one of the biggest regattas on the US calendar,” says Tom Donovan of Ceasar Marine US LLC. It will also be an amazing opportunity to display two of the company’s new RIBs (Rigid Inflatable Boat) to an increasingly receptive US boating market.

|
Ceasar is supporting the Regatta with two committee boats, its established P850 luxury RIB powered by twin Honda 225hp outboards and the commercial variant of the same design called the C850. During the race week the two boats will be involved in a number of official duties, including race starts, safety patrols at marker buoys and providing a fast and stable platform for the event’s on-water photography.

|
The two boats share the 8.25 metre deep V-shaped hull that gives this design a wide stance and a secure ride, even in rough waters. The main difference between the C and P (‘Commercial’ and ‘Premium’ specification respectively) models is the fit-out. The P850 looks like a super-yacht tender with recessed LED lighting with lots of lockers and plenty of stainless steel fixtures and fittings.

|
|
By contrast, the C850 is pared right down to a utility boat that offers masses of storage. Essentially the whole boat is one self-draining flat deck with a simple two-plus-two seating console with a T-top canopy. The tubes are fitted differently on the C850 too, they use a bolt-on system instead of glue, which will make repairs much quicker and reduce downtime for commercial operators.

|
“The US markets, especially the workboat sectors, are becoming much more aware of RIBs and the benefits that they offer over conventional designs,” says David Butler of Ceasar Marine US LLC. “Buyers in this sector are also pleasantly surprised that they can buy a branded RIB that is 100% made in America – which is really helping our marketing.”

Ceasar Marine had a fantastic response from the Boat Show. Three craft were on show; P850, Thunderbolt and T520. Many boat tests were carried out for a number of clients. Ceasar Marine will once again be exhibiting at this years Southampton International Boat Show on the Marina Berth 091. We will have the P850o available for demonstration throughout the week. This year we have acquired an extra berth space alongside 091 and will rotate through each of our P Class, T Class and X Class range.

Ceasar Marine will be demonstrating the Ceasar P850o as well as the X Class Ceasar Thunderbolt and Thundercat at this years RIBEX show. All will be showcased on the water, with the Ceasar Thunderbolt displayed on the Evinrude berth, the Ceasar Thundercat on the Thundercat Racing berth and the P850o on the Ceasar pontoon.

An early winter’s start... and another cold blustery day along the North Devon coastline. Kevin Goulding from online RIB Magazine HOTRIBs, had been wanting to come down and get his hands on the P850o since early summer, having initially heard about the project from his friend and our one time consultant Captain Mark Phillips.

Another month goes by and another two reviews for the Ceasar P-Class 850o appear in leading RIB & boat publications here in the UK. The guys from RIB International came down during the summer to our head office here in North Devon, UK. It was a beautiful day as we shot over to Lundy Island for lunch and then back along the gorgeous North Devon coastline, putting the boat through its paces.

es, we only had the final Prototype deign here in the UK for demonstration purposes at the time of the review. It was felt at the time that we could use this to our advantage and generate some interest within the trade for the upcoming launch at the Southampton International Boat show rather then wait for a review of the final production model later in the year. We feel the review was a fair reflection of the final prototype model with work already completed by Ceasar Marine on the enhancements requested for the production model from Hugo during the review.Unfortunately due to RIB International being a bi-monthly publication, and deadlines to meet for future articl

The boat was tested whilst we were down at the Southampton International Boat Show in the short sharp chop of the Solent and with some particularly nasty weather on the horizon. Since this article was written we have completed further in-house testing and have recorded a new top speed of 55Kt (63.4mph)

The first official review of the Ceasar P-Class 850o is finally here. The guys from Sportsboat & RIB came down to North Devon on a particularly blustery cold autumnal day, and pushed the boat hard. What a show. A big thank you goes out to all those who visited us on the marina berth, either as just a passing interest or the serious RIB Enthusiast, it was great to meet so many people and receive so much positive feedback. We couldn't have been more pleased with the outcome.

|
With the ever predictable English weather... it was nice to get a tan and be able to showcase the Ceasar P850o in the rough short chop conditions at the same time! The high winds were in our favour as it showed just how stable the Ceasar P850o can be whilst giving a soft ride to those on board.

What a contrast to the last outing! The weather was terrible...but nothing the Ceasar P850o couldn't handle! Drivers Wharf in Southampton organised this Poker Run along the central/eastern solent. In order to start and gain some publicity leading up to the Official UK Launch at the Southampton Boat Show 2006 we invited Chris Lawrence from Sports Boat & RIB Magazine along for the ride with promises of gorgeous sunshine and free food and drinks. 16/07/06 Ceasar P850o in Exmouth Poker Run
|
|
|
|
The first official UK outing of the Ceasar P850o was at the Exmouth to Torquay poker run organised by Dave Cockman. It was a gorgeous day along the south coast with temperatures reaching the high 80's and minimal swell. The day was broken up with lunch at babbicombe which gave us enough time to introduce the P850o to all who were interested. We didn't get any lunch! During the afternoon, with the perfect weather and surrounding scenery we commissioned a short photo shoot, with the hope of using some of the shots in future adverts and trade publications. A few of which have actually made it onto this website.
